Future Selves
2.2.2024
FINAL.jpg

The next single from multidimensional artist & producer Lauren Nikohl, "Future Selves," is a downtempo electronic dance track, infused with electro pop and psychedelic influences. The track began as a melody that Lauren heard in meditation, and features a spiritual message from her future/parallel selves. What also sets this track apart is its unique tuning to 528Hz, often referred to as the "miracle tone" for its healing and transformative properties.

Lauren Nikohl

Bio//

Lauren Nikohl is a multidimensional singer/songwriter, producer, and DJ, with a soulful, powerhouse voice, and she's on a mission to raise the collective consciousness. Her music often transcends the boundaries of genre, fusing elements of Indie/Electro Pop, Alternative Dance, Melodic & Deep House, and Psychedelic Electronic. Born in Shoreview, Minnesota, this multi-talented artist is now based in Los Angeles. Her vocals are a blend of "Adele meets Stevie Nicks", while her music dabbles between "Chvrches meets Rufus Du Sol", and "Sia meets WhoMadeWho".

Influences include Queen, Frank Ocean, Muse, Ben Bohmer, Jan Blomqvist, Jess Glynne, DRAMA, Styx, Monolink, Rufus Du Sol, Daft Punk, Neon Indian, and many more.

This budding songstress began singing, playing guitar, songwriting, and playing piano, all before the age of 10. She grew up with a dad who loved to create and play music as his favorite past time, and was inspired by his passion and artistry. Lauren released her debut Indie Pop EP, "The Night" in June 2015. Her life-long love for the performing arts has since expanded into a driven passion to create meaningful change in the world through her music, especially after having a spiritually awakening, "out of body" experience circa 2016.

Lauren has since released a few collaboration tracks and singles, including EDM/Soul single, "Against the Wind," with Grammy-winning and Billboard-charting producer Robert Eibach, and "Where I Intend to Go", co-produced by multi-instrumentalist Spaceship Earth.

Circa 2020, Lauren began honing her production and DJ skills, fusing her melodic tunes with electronic elements and psychedelic dance vibes. She released her debut, self-produced album, “Ascend”, on 11/11/22 which has independently amassed 375K+ streams. The album explores concepts of universal consciousness, spiritual awakening, and self awareness with a unique blend of Electro Pop, Psychedelic Indie House, and Alternative Dance elements.

Lauren often gets "downloads from the universe," and hears music ideas clairaudiently--much of her music is channeled during meditation or in a flow state. Using 432hz & 528hz tuning in her more recent music, frequencies known for their healing properties, she aims to raise your vibrational frequency and expand your mind.

As this young artist explores the nature of reality and spreads awareness of the connectedness of everything, her messages encourage humanity to always choose love over fear.  Lauren hopes that she can help shape mainstream culture into a more compassionate and thoughtful entity by exuding optimism, writing songs that ask the deeper questions, and presenting herself as a role model for people to be more motivated, mindful, and empowered in a world where insecurity, anxiety, and depression are way too common.

Lauren Nikohl is taking over the music industry, not only as a superbly talented songwriter, producer, and performer, but as an intellectual entrepreneur, spiritual guide, and light leader for humanity as we navigate this time of great awakening on the planet.

Praise for "Energy",
The Leading Single From Ascend:

"The track opens on an acoustic drum and analog synth beat. As the song progresses it transforms from a Rock & Roll groove into a low-key dance beat while a mix of organic and electronic instrumentation create a dreamy, psychedelic scene. Percussive synth arpeggios paint the periphery as Lauren leads us through a meditation on the nature of energy in the universe. It’s a smart, simple and beautiful premise delivered by an old soul with a fabulous voice and a taste for experimental retro-digital Funk."

"Indie pop singer-songwriter Lauren Nikohl has released her most commanding synth-pop single to date with ‘Energy‘, which carries the soul of disco and the cold cutting atmosphere of darkwave electronica. It’s an alchemic fusion of creatively contrasting tones, textures and emotions that brings exactly what it says on the tin."

Acoustic Livestream Performance Review:

"With an overall indie-pop feel, Lauren Nikohl’s performance has a bohemian edge, meeting somewhere between Natalie Imbruglia, Adele and early Stevie Nicks. Listeners with a penchant for social awareness will appreciate Nikohl’s hopeful narrative and altruistic motivation, in addition to her colorful melody lines and smooth, cheerful vocal runs."
